Providence Baptist Church of Riverview Florida

What to Expect

Below are the answers to a few questions about Providence Baptist Church that may have already crossed your mind. If we missed one, please contact the church office, and we'll help you in any way that we can.

When you visit Providence, it is our desire that you will find a conservative church that is God-focused, Word-centered, and people-oriented.

What are the services like?

Worship services are a time of joyful worship and praise, with a nice blend of traditional songs and new songs that are conservative in style.

Our pastors preach Bible-based messages that are both timely and applicable. Copies of each sermon are available for free download or can be purchased on CD.

What is available for my children?

There are well-equipped and fully-supervised nurseries to care for infants and toddlers during each of our services. Age appropriate classes are available for children through 6th grade. Junior and senior high teens meet as part of Providence's Youth Ministry.

Where can I park?

We have specially designated parking spaces directly across from the Tabernacle, our main auditorium, for first time guests.  A "new" covered drop-off will bring you out of any adverse weather and provide easy access to the Tabernacle.  We do encourage you to arrive 10 to 15 minutes early as services do start on time.

What happens when I arrive?

We encourage you to enter our auditorium, the Tabernacle, through the double glass doors located on the north side.  From there, our friendly greeters will put you at ease by providing information on what is available for your family and then guide you to one of our ushers who will seek to accommodate your needs and help you find a seat. Greeters and ushers will be happy to answer any questions you have during your visit. Information is also available at the Information Center in the lobby of the auditorium.

How can I learn more about Providence Baptist Church?

Attending a service or class is a great start. When you are here, be sure to visit the Information Center in the lobby of the auditorium to receive a Guest Packet. Friendly people are there to answer your questions and provide you with information about Providence's ministries and events.

If you want more of an in-depth look at the ministries here, or if you are interested in becoming a member of Providence, then Pastor Goforth invites you to visit with him in the Next Step Class.

How can I meet other members of Providence?

One of the best ways to meet others and develop friendships is to be involved in an Adult Bible Fellowship class during the Sunday School hour following the morning Worship Service. Our classes are age appropriate and give opportunities for fellowship and spiritual growth.
