Pastor David Goforth and his family began their ministry at Providence in January 2010. They have been blessed with five daughters, Holly, Kelley, Bailey, Chloe, and Amy. He was born and raised in Pontiac, Michigan, and accepted Christ as his Savior at the age of five.
The call to ministry has been a part of his life since he was a child. He graduated from Pensacola Christian college in 1993 with a BA in Youth Ministries and received a Masters of Ministry from Bob Jones University in 2006. Following college at Pensacola Christian college, Pastor and Daye were married and went on to travel for PCC for two years speaking in Christian school chapels and churches all over the Midwest. Pastor Goforth comes to us from Grace Baptist Church of West Columbia, South Carolina where he served for 15 years as Youth and Christian Education Pastor.
Daye grew up in a pastor’s home. Her tender heart, humble spirit, and love for God have been a delight to her family and an encouragement to the many young ladies and women she has ministered to over the years. Daye received a BS in Speech Education in 1992 from Pensacola Christian college. God has given Daye many opportunities to exercise her gifts through drama and music.
They pray God will continue to grant them the wisdom and burden they need to help the next generation of Christians grow in the grace and knowledge of our wonderful Lord and Savior.
